Strada Tilburg
We were pleased to develop and execute the interior concept and design for “Strada Italian Streetfood” for Albron Netherlands at branch Strada Tilburg. Taking inspiration from the bustling streets of Italy and the secrets of Italian cuisine and design, our team created an interior that exudes simplicity and sophistication.

Like Italian cuisine, our design for Strada Tilburg emphasizes the beauty of simplicity. By using only high-quality and natural materials, we were able to create a modest interior that exudes craftsmanship, class and artisanship.
Our design philosophy is grounded in the diversity of simplicity, and natural materials play a crucial role in this. By limiting our selection to only three original and authentic materials, we were able to create a design that is simple but elegant.
This approach mirrors Italian cuisine, which uses only a few ingredients masterfully to create remarkable meals.
Italian artisan craftsmanship was also evident in how we processed natural stone, which could be worked into various shapes and textures. For example, by fringing the hi-macs, it attained an urban and robust look, while rounding the edges brought out a subtle elegance.
Our design direction relies on creating strength, conviction, and direction through employing various volumes and proportions. By skillfully manipulating volumes, we were able to draw the visitors’ attention to what we wanted to highlight. Additionally, this created a playful and surprising design that engaged visitors’ curiosity.
Our design’s unique color scheme is light, natural, and nuanced, inspired by our chosen materials’ colors. Consisting of only three materials, our color palette is serene, natural, and subtly shifting.
At OAK, we believe that textures signify the ambience and care with which an object is made. Therefore, our interior features various textures, from soft powdery slates to flour-coated pizza dough, which convey an authentic Italian feel. We kept the forms elegant and refined, with some areas featuring rough and edgy shapes. The design focuses on carefully chosen and measured shapes, showcasing Italian finesse with an “urban vibe.” Our floor, made of Winckelmans tile, was inspired by Italian squares’ paving.
Finally, our lighting design brimmed with warmth, inviting, and emphasizing different aspects of our design. With both direct and soft indirect light, it creates a dynamic interplay with the materials and textures, creating an inviting atmosphere for guests. Overall, the Strada Italian Streetfood interior design creates a relaxing atmosphere that mirrors the unique Italian spirit. The enticing, warm, natural colors, natural textures, delicate forms, and volumes all add character to the place. Oak Amsterdam successfully marries simplicity and precision in a stunning design that invites exploration and discovery.
