Weids
For Weids, we developed the interior concept, design, and complete brand identity in close collaboration with the owner, who had a clear vision of the desired hospitality concept. Our starting point: creating a place where everything is allowed and nothing is required, with calm, connection, and enjoyment at its core. The result is a contemporary meeting place in Bolsward featuring the familiar café, a renewed restaurant, multifunctional meeting rooms, and a private dining area.

In the interior, everything was custom-made, and we chose authentic, artisanal materials: solid oak wood, a copper bar top, and ceramic tiles on the walls, at the bar base, and on the seating. The tiles were specially produced by Harlinger Aardewerk and give the interior an authentic, handcrafted character.
An important design principle was flexibility. Thanks to the distinctive steel folding wall, the restaurant can easily transform into a spacious setting for groups and events, such as a wedding, while also offering options for smaller, intimate gatherings.
In addition, the private dining area provides space for small groups, and companies can reserve the various stylishly designed meeting rooms. Throughout the interior, attention has been paid to comfort, atmosphere, and a sense of coming home, with a warm and welcoming appearance that suits the rich history of the building.
At Weids, everything revolves around experience, attention, and connection. Together with the owner, we realized an interior that supports this while remaining flexible, sustainable, and authentic. Directly next to the restaurant, we designed a cozy old brown pub where the local community can come together, watch a football match on the big screen, or play a game of billiards. In this way, the familiar meeting place for the neighborhood is preserved.
